It's the finals of the u-20 women's world cup in Canada and it's going to be between Nigeria and Germany who knocked out North Korea and France respectively.
If we can remember vividly,these two sides met at the 2010 finals in Germany where Nigeria lost to the Germans. Tomorrow will decide whether the jinx will continue or if it will be broken.
Looking at the present Nigerian team which is quite different from the Nigerian side that lost to the Germans in 2010, we can say that there has been a lot of changes as regards to the team. There is now a new coach in charge of the team. So many new players have been included while some old ones have exited the team. To me, the Nigerian side is now more stronger and organised considering the fact that they outplayed their North Korean counterparts in the semi-finals with the Korean girls loosing to them with a 6-2 scoreline. North Korea too has been a torn in the flesh for Nigeria but the record was broken in this tournament.
On the other side,the German team is a good one as well. Having made it this far in the tournament shows that they are a force to reckon with. History shows that they have a good record against Nigeria when it comes to this tournament. They have also won it twice since the commencement of the tournament. A team that knocked out the french girls is no doubt a formidable one but tomorrow we will know if their record against Nigeria is to be countinued.
The two forces will meet tomorrow, Nigeria representing Africa and Germany representing Europe. It's either the jinx continues or it gets broken.
